Craig J. London - President and Chief Executive Officer. Before joining eCullet, Craig served as Executive Vice President of Solectron Corporation and President of Solectron Global Services. Prior to Solectron, he was Chief Executive Officer of SMART Modular Technologies, a $1.2 billion supplier of memory modules to original equipment manufacturers (“OEMs”), and Force Computers, a $300 million supplier of computer assemblies to OEMs. Craig has also served as Chief Executive Officer of Electronics Systems Associates and Diva Communications, Vice President and General Manager of Nortel Networks, and General Partner and Managing Director Technology Investments at Safeguard Scientific. Craig earned an undergraduate degree from University of California at Berkeley in Physics and an MBA from Pepperdine University.
Farook Afsari - Chairman & Founder. Farook has 30 years of experience as an engineer, project manager, and business unit manager. His specialty has been in real-time control systems. Prior associations have been with FMC Corporation, Schlitz Brewing, Harnischfeger, Raychem and Intuit. He has a wide range of technology development, program management, and business development experience. He received a BSEE from Marquette University and an MBA in International Business from American Graduate School of International Management.
Mark D. Muenchow - Chief Financial Officer. Mark brings over 30 years of start-up and Wall Street experience to eCullet. Prior to joining eCullet, he was CFO and V.P., Operations at PureSense Environmental, a leading provider of water efficiency and effectiveness Software as a Service (SaaS) to commercial food growers, and Interim CFO for NanoStellar Inc. A co-founder and CFO / COO of the manufacturing services company WESTT, Inc., serving Silicon Valley OEMs, he financed and managed growth of the company to revenues of $30 million. As a Principal in Corporate Finance at Morgan Stanley & Co. Inc., in New York, Mark managed IPO and follow-on offerings and debt financings, M&A transactions, project financings and financial advisory assignments for corporate clients. Mark has a BSE from Princeton University and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Ann T. Nguyen - General Counsel and Vice President, Administration. Ann has over 25 years of experience handling legal and business matters for public and privately-held companies in various industries including high-tech, real estate, and bio-tech. She served as General Counsel and Secretary for SMART Modular Technologies during its IPO in 2006 and follow-on offering in 2007 and as Assistant General Counsel for Real Property Services. Before attending law school, she worked in the Audit and Consulting departments of KPMG. Ann earned a B.S. in Accounting (cum laude) from USC and a J.D. from UC Davis. She also attended the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at UCLA. Ann is a licensed attorney and a CPA in California.
Charles Porta - Vice President of Marketing and Sales. Charles has over 40 years of experience in operations, sales, and finance. He was President of Container Recycling Alliance (CRA) for ten years, managing the development and growth of the company to become the second largest glass processor in the U.S., with 14 glass processing facilities across the U.S. His experience encompasses all phases of glass processing from acquiring the incoming supply of post-consumer recycled glass and preprocessing to ensuring quality of furnace-ready cullet is delivered to the end user.
Kerry Martin - Vice President of Operations and Sourcing. Kerry has over 20 years of experience in Recycling and Solid Waste Management, in both the public and private sectors. Most recently he was Division Manager for FCR Casella, overseeing numerous material recycling facilities along with maintaining processing and business development responsibilities. He served as Market Area / District Manager with Waste Management / Recycle America (WMRA), where he was responsible for multiple Glass Processing facilities, as well as Material Recycling Facilities (MRFs) and mixed plastic processing operations. He also served as President of the NY State Chapter of the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA). Kerry attended Broome Community College and the Cornell Waste Management Institute.
Dr. Kasra Khazeni - Vice President of Technology. Kasra has over 12 years of experience as an innovator holding technical and managerial positions in various industries such as semiconductors, novel displays, metrology equipment, micro-electro mechanical systems, and solar energy. Kasra earned a B.A. and a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of California at Berkeley.
